The Gold Service

The Gold Service is an annual contract which breaks down into 3 sections by time of year.

Start Up & Winter Season: November-May

  • Turn on radiators to low
  • Inspection & preseason clean
  • Clean radiator elements
  • Clean filters in domestic machines
  • Clean VMC (air circulation system) vents
  • Gradually turn up heating
  • Turn on water & gas and check all services are operational
  • Check gas bottles and replace if necessary (at extra cost)
  • Check power supplies and reactivate with EDF if necessary
  • Check all fuses
  • Check all lights are working
  • Check telephone lines & meters and reactivate with France Telecom if necessary
  • Check operation of all appliances
  • Check operation of toilet systems
  • Clean shower hoses and all drains
  • Check wall fittings for fastness, including curtains
  • Check operation of saunas & jacuzzis
  • Certification of fire extinguishers (provide at extra cost if not already part of inventory)
  • Check all keys are operational (ski lockers, doors and cupboards)
  • Copy keys if required (at extra cost)
  • Check all mattress protectors are back on beds following summer close-down
  • Attend co-proprietor meetings at end of season and provide written documentation following meeting

Close Down: May

  • Full inventory check
  • Carpet & rug clean (at extra cost)
  • Purchase missing items (at extra cost)
  • Check all light bulbs in sockets and replace (at extra cost)
  • Replace filters in extractor systems
  • Turn mattresses
  • Steam clean tiles as required
  • Arrange cleaning of curtains, seat covers, mattress covers, bedspreads & duvets (at extra cost)
  • Inspect property and provide job report giving recommendations for summer maintenance e.g. seal varnish jobs, tighten beds, tables, knobs & sockets, wax furniture, repair window seals etc..
  • Turn off water supply
  • Turn off electricity
  • Close curtains or apply brown paper to windows
  • Arrange chimney sweeping (at extra cost)
  • Clean ski locker
  • Service boot warmers
  • Service saunas & jacuzzis (at extra cost)

 

Inter-season & Key Holding: June-November

  • Monthly visits to check damage, vermin, water damage
  • Flush toilets and fill sink and shower bends to prevent odours from drains
  • Check post box, forward if necessary
  • Carry out or oversee required maintenance (see details on Project Management Service)
  • Order firewood and store it (cost of wood extra)
